My daughter goes to school at Illinois School for the Deaf, and I'm looking for recommendations of restaurants in or around Jacksonville, Illinois.

I've never been, but I've heard good things about Lonzeratti's-----obviously an Italian joint. There are more choices in Springfield if that works for you.

You might try Leo's Pizza and Italian (the stuffed pizza is awesome), The Three-Legged Dog Cafe, Brickhouse Barbecue, Muggsy's Fine Dining, and Lonzerotti's Italia Restaurant, and for mexican, there's El Rancherito.

And for a cheap sit-down meal, try BJ's Restaurant. Other diner-type places include the Kottage Kafe, Katie's Hideout, the North-Star Cafe, Grandma Rudi's, and the Classic Diner.
