Nordstrom Cafe- Surprisingly good

Hubby and I hit went to the mall in Towson over the weekend to run a few errands. We lunched at the cafe inside Nordstrom, next to women's sporty-wear. I had the soup/salad/half sandwich combo and husband had the tuna-melt. My soup was an OUTSTANDING crab bisque, and I also had tuna salad for my half-sandwich. Though there was a glitch and our food was slow to come out, it was definitely worth the wait and the staff tried to make up for it with free soup offer, etc. Our drinks were constantly refilled and we left happy, despite the delay.
If you can stand the screaming children, I would definitely recommend this place. It's way better than Donna's (not hard given their crazy-bad service) and leaps and bounds above the mall food court. I don't see it being a destination dining spot because of it's location, but it just might be for us because our experience was so good.

Nordstrom's cafe was better a few years ago. They have changed it from a more traditional restaurant to a more self-service style cafe. I've been the to the Mariposa cafe at Neiman Marcus in both Miami and Honolulu and have had great meals/service both times.

Nordstrom Cafe is really good, especially the tomato soup and chicken florentine sandwich.

I once saw the crab bisque on a best 100 food list. I tried it and have gotten it ever since every time I go to the US. not too crazy about the rest of the menu though. The pasta entrees are small.

We used to frequent the Nordstrom Pub in Bellevue, WA when we lived up there. I always had the crab bisque. It was absolutely delicious. I"ve never been in one of the cafes but really liked the Pub was very comfortable and the food was always tasty.

My daughter and I love to go to Nordstrom cafe when we are shopping. We really like the crab bisque. I have gotten lots of good sandwiches there too.

I still think about the turkey and cranberry salad I had years ago at the San Francisco Civic Centre Nordstrom. It was delicious. Probably long gone from the menu though.

I always enjoy Nordstrom's Cafe. I love the soups and the bread crisp that comes with it. They also make great salads too.

While I don't disagree with you at all, I can make an even stronger case for the Nordstrom Restaurant at Columbia. The dining area is a little larger and there's a better selection of meals.
