Trip to Kansas City

Going to Kansas City next week for the Tina Turner concert. Looking for a great italian restaurant near the Sprint Center. Also recommendations for other great establishments while we are in the Kansas City area. We like italian, mexican and in general just good food.

there's a really good Italian placed called Anthony's at 7th and Grand which is about six blocks from Sprint Center. A doable walk for KC's downtown though parking at Anthony's or in the lot next to it and then taking a cab to the Sprint Center would probably be your best best and save you the hassle of parking near the center.

As for Anthony's itself. The place looks like a Vegas eatery from 1960's Sand Hotel. Dark with grottos and pink lighting (you get the idea) but the food is excellent. Especially the chicken dishes and their red sauce is also amazing. Also, if you're from St. Louis you'll be happy to know that Anthony's has toasted ravioli.
