Tamale Shop in Santa Maria has closed

No one seems to know why, but the owners are mia, no one has seen them in months at the building near the corner of Blosser and Betteravia.

I was sad to see this; they had a nice clean operation and the tamales were very good.

I hope they can return at some point in the future.

It has re-opened under new owners. I haven't checked out since but will try it next week and report on it.
