Villa Abbate in Rancho Mirage - out of business?

Today I called the number on their website to make a reservation (based on recommendations from this board), and I got a recording saying that that number is no longer in service. I'm in AZ so I can't easily do a drive-by to check myself. Does anyone know if they are still in business?

Thanks for the update. That is too bad - after reading the reviews and checking out their menu online, DH and I were really looking forward to trying it.

I know the Owners Jack and Lucy Abbate. Unfortunatley I have the sad news of stating that Villa Abbate Ristorante Italiano will not be reopening.
