Good soup in Stamford?

I'm looking for somewhere in Stamford that has some good soup. It's a rainy, dreary day and I can think of nothing better than some yummy soup for lunch. Trouble is, I can't think of anywhere that has good soup. Soup Alley in SoNo is too far and pricey. Anything in town you can recommend?

You must try Top of the Hill near Stamford Hospital next to Dominos for some hearty Caribbean soup, keeps you full all day as does there incredible breakfasts.

if Greenwich isn't too far, Meli Melo on the avenue is known for their soups (o.k., and their crepes), other direction Chef's Table in Westport, Fairfield has a dozen or more soups daily, shame Stamford doesn't have anything similar

Got some good Matzo ball soup there once before, but remember it being on the expensive side for just soup. Will give them another shot with the above recco. Does Margots do take out?

order the matzah ball in a separate container.

Not a fan of Rye ridge, particulary the matzoh ball soup. The soup is oversalted and the matzoh ball sits like a big dough-y softball in the middle.
Margot's does have take-out, by the way.

I posed this same question in January:

Its probably too late now, but Margot's soup is really heart & tasty, and Duo has really good soups as well. Both change daily.
