Southside Richmond, VA

We just moved from Richmond's Northside to the Westover Hills area. There doesn't seem to be as many choices as in the Northside. Does anyone know of some good eats in the area? We like anything from pizza to fine dining.

I've been to all of the below and frequent them on a regualr basis.
Have a Nice Day Cafe in Stratford Hills center.
Paradise Diner in Stratford Hills center.
    Italian Delight on Jahnke Rd.
    Mexico on Forest Hill Ave.
    Joe's Inn on Buford Rd.
Champs at Stoney Point Fashion Park.
Cathay Gourmet (Chinese) on Forest Hill Ave.
    Benny's BBQ in Stratford Hills.
Jason's Deli is ok. Forest Hill Ave.
    O'Tooles on Forest Hill.

Thanks for the recommendations. We ordered pizza from Maldini's this past weekend and it was really good. Much like Mary Angela's. We're going to try Ciento Lindo this weekend.

Maldini's has good pizza and acceptable pasta...stay away from the specials and fancier dishes. Love Ciento Lindo for Mexican on Forest Hill. The Forest has the best cheesesteak in town, but is smoky...don't wear your dry clean only clothes. I like Thai's Mama at Stratford Hills for Thai food and Benny BBQ also at Stratford Hills has the best pulled pork BBQ in town IMO. Paradise Diner has gotten some good press, but I haven't tried it it.

I agree with Janet--well I don;t think Maldini's pasta is even acceptable, to be honest. For lunch, brunch or to go dinner try Savor in Manchester--its excellent.

FYI, Savor only offers take-out for dinner and that requires calling ahead to order. Otherwise they close by 5:30 Mon-Thu and even earlier on Fri and Sat.

I've been dying to try this place. Just need to work it into the day schedule.
