Looking for Good Baklava on Westside...

Anyone know where I might find some? The fresher, the better!

Try the Glatt market on Santa Monica Blvd and Colby? They've got a very small and limited bakery that sell baklava by the pound.

Would it be heresy to suggest in a pinch checking out Trader Joe's Baklava Ensemble?

        Compared to Baklava Factory, yes.

Most definitely heresy, esp when compared with Baklava Factory. While I like many things at TJ's their Baklava is subpar at best.

I just read of a good baklava sighting at Pink Orchid at 1927 Westwood Blvd. (310) 441-4410.

Papa Cristo at Pico and Normandie has great baklava!

Yes, I am aware of the Baklava Factory & Papa Cristo - was just hoping there might be something as good on the Westside...still keeping my hopes up for some secret find so I don't have to go all the way across town for my Baklava fix.

I'm not sure if baklava falls into the Persian repertory, but there's the Rex Bakery on Sawtelle 1 block below Santa Monica Blvd.

Rex has it moments and I remember it well. Nice spot, small and compact.

If you can haul over to Encino or Glendale to Baklava Factory, then you'll find all you dream of.

Gosh, yes. I just went there yesterday. Their baklava is to die for.

Seconded. Who new that there where that many types of baklava? The lady that runs the Encino branch is also very friendly. Be sure to try the cryspy dough coated with honey (no idea what it's called), but YUM sums it up nicely.
