Mexican by Universal City?
I'm staying at the Sheraton Universal and have a craving for some awesome margaritas and great Mexican food -- any suggestions? I'm from NY and there are so many that come up I'm lost so any help is greatly appreciated!

It's about a 10 minute drive from there but you can go to Don Cuco's on Riverside Drive... (818) 842-1123... call them for exact address.

Cuco's is at 3911 Riverside Drive in Burbank, across the street from one of the original El Toritos. Don't make that mistake!
Secondly, if you might prefer to get into Hollywood, Loteria Grill at 6627 Hollywood Blvd., just a few blocks east of the Hollywood & Highland center which houses the Kodak Theatre, is quite good. One stop on the Red Line subway from Universal City gets you there. Just opened about 1+ month ago.
Avoid Camachos and Ernies Taco HOuse on Lankershim-

OK...Now I have recommendations, but not super close to Universal Studios. Daniel's Tacos is an authentic taco stand on Vineland and Strathern. It's worth the drive.
The other place is las fuentes, but that is a trek to deep valley. The green gold aka guacamole is worth the trip. http://www.lasfuentes.com/
