Pre-Marathon Carb Loading Dinner

Hi All --

I've been tasked for finding dinner for 12 the night before the NYC Marathon. A friend of mine is running in it.

The parameters are fairly simple... it should be on the west side, preferably not above 23rd street. The places I've called so far are Malatesta, who can't do it. And Da Andrea, who would have to split up our table. I thought about Crispo, but the price point is a little above what we want for the rest of the group. Piadina was nixed for other reasons.

I'm considering Trattoria Toscana or Trattoria Pesce Pasta.

Any thoughts on either of those two? Or maybe a better suggestion in the same price range? We'd like a nice, simple place to get nice, simple and good pasta.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

      Le Zie - 17th / 7th

Though I prefer to eat at home.. pasta and tomato sauce, no oil , no cheese, no excess garlic.

I proceed directly from the finish to get some wings and beer
