Salad Works Restaurant

does anyone know anything about this place?

  1. I used to LOVE Salad works....5+ years ago. Since then, the quality and size has diminished significantly. Basically, it is a salad bar where someone else puts the salad together for you. You can pick your own salad, or you can order one that is suggested (like the spinach salad...versus choosing your own toppings).

    1. I went to one last week when I was at a conference for work, got a salad and a drink for $9.50. Just goto the supermarket salad bar and make one for half the price, the salads are really nothing exceptional. way overpriced for what you get.

Agreed. I went to one by my work a couple of weeks ago and it's like $8.50 for a salad. I'm like, it's a frickin' salad for goodness sakes. Some lettuce in a bowl---and nowhere near big enough to justify the price! I should get a vat of salad for that price. Salad for days, even!

      2. I think you can chalk that up to good old franchising and expansion. When it was a small local chain, NJ/SE PA, it was way better quality and value.

        1. I just read a review for this chain in my local newspaper today, and I was considering giving it a shot... I'm definitely reconsidering that now after reading the responses!

Unfortunately none of the supermarkets that I know of have a salad bar anymore.
