Gravensteins in Boston?

MacDrew Sep 24, 2008 11:45 AM

Am wondering if anyone knows of a market/store in the immediate Boston area that is carrying Gravenstein apples now? Thanks!

Not the immediate Boston area, but it looks like Russell Orchards in Ipswich has them in their store. Their season is almost done, I think, so I'd call before heading up.

"their" season refers to Gravensteins, not Russell's, I assume. Just to clarify.

The Govt Ctr Farmers Mkt on Mon/Wed has them at a few places. McKeown Orchards is 1.

      Pretty sure they're in Copley..Tues/Fri....both 11AM-6PM

Noquochoke Orchards is at the Gov't Center Farmers Market. They grow gravensteins, but you might want to call first to see if they will have them when you plan to go.

Keown Orchards growns them and they are at a number of farmers markets including Copley and City Hall. Again, you'll have to check with them to see when they are available. I had one of the best Honey Crisps ever from them this week.
