Looking for a totally CASUAL FQ restaurant
I'm planning my best friend's bachelorette party for Nov., and we're staying in the FQ on Magazine St. We're eating @ Cochon on Friday, so Saturday I'd love to find a totally low-key, elbows-on-the-table place for good oysters...preferably in the FQ. We are almost all very "foodie" gals, and love a good meal...but it doesn't need to be fancy--we want something really fun/casual and with local feel.
Any suggestions?? Thanks so much in advance!

If you like oysters- you can check out Dragos. iTs in the Hilton by the River. Its across from Harrahs Casino. Near that area is also Gordon Birsh. They brew their own bear there and has really good food. You should try Mothers. its very new orleans. :)

Acme or Felix would fit the bill. Felix if your just doing raw oysters, Acme if you want an actual meal.
Try the roasted oysters at Cochon, they are an appetizer and are excellent. Well, everything at Cochon is excellent.
If it's during the day and yall can fit, the bar at The Bourbon House is fun and they have great oysters there too. A bunch of girls should have no trouble flirting up the oyster shuckers where ever yall land. Have fun!
