Where to eat at South Lake Tahoe

We'll be staying in South Lake Tahoe this weekend. We will be there for biking and hiking, so we will want to find some good, casual restaurants.(We won't be wearing backpacks or bike clothing, but just won't have dress clothes with us.) The main requirement is that the food be of good quality. Italian, Mexican, Californian, American.............anything really. I've looked at lists, but not ratings. I've seen 3 Italian restaurants mentioned. Does anyone have any suggestions? The Italian restaurants listed were: Tep's Villa Roma, Passaretti's Italian and Mama's Red Tomato. We're not stuck on only having Italian so ANY suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any help you can offer!

  1. Naked Fish has great sushi. Christiana Inn is a bit more upscale but casual and good food. La Cantina is ok for Mexican. Evans is the best restaurant, and more pricey. You can still wear jean though.
