Bacon Waffles

  • 6

Several Years ago on my first trip to SF, I found a place that sold bacon waffles not too far from Fisherman’s Warf. I was unable to locate it on subsequent trips. Does anyone know the name or location of this place? I think it may have been owned by an Italian family.

  1. Thank the website Foodiebytes for this one ... Capurro's in Fisherman's Wharf

It's the Tops on Market in the Castro has bacon waffles, but that is far from FW.

Stacks has a bacon waffle ... but again ... not near North Beach

If you eat there, hope you report back about it.

    1. Thread drift...not in FW, but It's Tops on Market serves bacon waffles. I don't know why I remember them serving it but I do...don't remember how good it was.

      1. perhaps more drift, but I love the bacon, cheddar and green onion pancakes at ST. Francis on 24th in the Mission

My word< what are they like?

well, delicious! I have to admit that you lose some inherit pancake fluff, but certainly not all. The bacon is in very small dice and along with the shredded cheddar and onions is mixed into the batter. You get 2 large pancakes and they come with syrup! and they some how manage not to be greasy...

I know syrup and bacon is good, but how well does syrup compliment cheddar and onions?
