I'm looking to take my girlfriend (we are both new to the city) to a small romantic place in Little Italy that's more of a "good find" then a big place. I like red sauce Italian. Any suggestions?

I like Antico Forno on Salem next to the hardware store. Not the most romantic, but really good food. Try pretty much anything from the wood fired brick oven.

Paglicua's on Parmenter Street is a good option if you're looking for a cozy little spot in the North End. Actually, it's not the most romantic place in the world, but it has some character and is definitely a find. Good pasta, veal, etc.

You asked about this in a different thread a few days ago:

There are some good suggestions there, and some searching the board will give you many additional pointers. The search term you want is "North End", not "Little Italy"; if you want to narrow things down further you can add "red sauce".

There is no Little Italy in Boston. A search for the North End will garner many thoughtful posts. I especially love bachslunch's review of that neighborhood.
