Preserved lemons and Hallal meat

A friend of a friend is arriving from Morroco in a couple of weeks for a visit and plans on cooking an authentic Morrocan feast but first requires these two ingredients. Any thoughts on where they can purchase them?? I already checked the search boards but didn't find too much.

  1. Akhavan (several locations) -
    Adonis (several locations) -

    Lucky you!!!

    1. A bunch of places around Jean-Talon market and on the stretch of Jean-Talon between St-Michel and Pie-IX will have those. Most of the Maghrebi shops in town are around those parts.

      1. I've also found great preserved lemong at Loblaws (St. Jacques) in the kosher aisle, but last week when I was looking for them, they didn't have any left. I bought some at a small store on Somerled just East of the big dollar store/Cavendish. I got a big jar of preserved lemons for $4.99.
