Mexican Ingredients in Vanc

Looking at a recipe which calls for several Mexican ingredients (dried ancho chiles, canned fire-roasted tomatoes with green chiles, and canned diced roasted green chiles) and wondering where the best place to look for these would be (preferably west of Main St).

South China Seas Trading Co has another location on Victoria Dr (at Grant St). Another good place (close by to SCSTC) for Mexican ingredients is El Sureno on Commercial Dr.

            El Sureno

        2. There's a mexican/latin store on Kingsway by Joyce (across from Bino's), I can't remember the name but it's right by Congee Noodle House. Some other options are Gourmet Warehouse on Hastings, they have a pretty good selection. Jalepeno & Cilantro at the Lonsdale Quay in North Van offers some products as well. I think they still have a restaurant on West Broadyway by Willow. The last time I was at Save on Foods and Walmart, had a small selection of mexican, not great but it's got some options, I think it depends on the demographic of the area.

              • I was looking for a similar place last year. I went to El Sureno on Commercial and had success finding quite a few things I wanted.
