Can I freeze poached pears?

Have you ever tried freezing pears poached in red wine? I have the pears here, I have an open bottle of wine, I was planning on serving them... in three weeks. What do you think?

My step-mom does it all the time but I would be concerned about texture. Anyway, she does it. Why don't you can them? That would be my choice to keep them 3 weeks.
