I haven't had a prime rib dinner since moving here 8 years ago. I don't imagine I'll find it in Jackson Heights but Woodside with so many pubs could be a possibility. Does anyone know of a restaurant that serves Prime Ribs in Woodside or anywhere that I can reach by subway. Thanks.

I can't think of any. Prime rib not really a very popular item in NYC. You'll see "rib chops" or ribeye often, but very rarely prime rib the way I, being from the midwest originally, would think of it. Other than Luger's (and only at lunch there) I can't really think of another good place that serves it.

Rathbones at 2nd and 88 used to serve an excellent prime rib dinner on Fridays.

Austin's Ale House in Kew Gardens (Lefferts Blvd/ Austin St) has nice prime rib. There is a special on monday nights. Next to LIRR, short walk from E/F Union Tpke.

Zum Stammtisch, a German restaurant on Myrtle Ave. in Ridgewood has prime rib on Sundays and sometimes as a special on other days. I last ate there in the summer, quite hefty portions and good beer. Their menu on their website is a little bit over the top, but funny. Also, O'Neil's, a sports bar in Maspeth, has prime rib. Not prime rib, but great steak, less pricey than Luger is Dazies on Queens Blvd., Sunnyside. Kind of upscale, but not as much as Manhattan. Dazies has good appetizers and desserts too & easy parking.
