Fro-yo? PHX environs

Let's do a quick check....Ice Tango (two locations, shooting for three in near future, Mesa on hold); Chill; iSwirl; Wildberri, Yogurtini coming....soon?

Any other fro-yo, east, west, downtown Phoenix (No. place near Pino's on W. Thomas is ice cream acc. sign out front) ??? Desperately searching....

Oh - and any word on MoJo opening?

Many thanks, muchas gracias, merci beaucoup....

I'm not sure what the question is, but maybe the answer is Pink Spot?

    Edit:
I just remembered that I recently heard about another place in Mesa called Ocean Blue. The reports I've read have not been very favorable, however.

My apologies, H. I only meant to indicate that I know Pink Spot is ice cream, not fro-yo - and only mentioned it because some had suggested it for yogurt. Only seeking individual fro-yo shops focusing on that product, not those "carrying" it within either a tub or single machine.

        No problem.

I just didn't understand the abbreviations in the context of the quoted sentence, so I wasn't sure what you were asking. I now get that "acc." stood for "according to", though I confess that "No." ("number"?) still has me puzzled.

At any rate, it looks like silverbear might have answered your question.

    2. Yes, the place in Midtown near Pino's is Pink Spot. It's good for high butterfat Lappert's ice cream and a few sorbets, but not so much for frozen yogurt.

There is a place for frozen yogurt Downtown. It's called "Taste of Yogurt" and is located at 1st Ave & Washington in the ground floor of one of the Renaissance buildings. It's 1980's style Miss Karen's and not tangy like some of the newer froyo spots. Still, it's reasonably good and served by incredibly nice people.

      1. All of the Cold Stone Creamery locations are now carrying a tub of frozen yogurt as an option, and it is of the live & active cultures variety. They haven't upgraded their fruit toppings though; all you can get are the normal stewed berry mixtures they have always carried.

ewwwww...I tried their froyo in hopes of something remotely similar to Pinkberry/Ice Tango, and I was sorely disappointed. It wasn't even good if I wasn't comparing it to anything. When I made the "ew" face (not on purpose-just a reaction I had, it really was that bad), the man behind the counter noticed and said something along the lines of "yeah, we get that reaction a lot to that flavor". Perhaps Cold Stone should just stick to what they're good at...unhealthy, good tasting full fat ice cream!

Cold Stone stopped specializing in good tasting ice cream about a decade ago. Their current product is $6 for 8 ounces of sweetened wallpaper paste with enough brownie bits, Butterfingers, and such mixed in that you won't notice the ice cream is mediocre. Don't believe me? Try a sample spoon of a flavor on its own.

But how do you really feel? :)

After Sweet Republic, most places taste pretty bland.

it's hard to keep tract of all the yogurt stores popping up. i always enter a new place with great anticipation but end of leaving so disappointed. they just can't get the combination right. so what places are your favorites. maybe i've missed a place. so far, i always have to go back to my favorite. i swirl fro yo.

        2. IMO, juju berri has the best fro-yo in the area...

Having problems adding a location link - here's the address:
7369 W Bell Rd, Peoria, AZ 85382 (next to Greek Wraps, Jamba Juice, and Old Navy)

There is a new fro-yo place in north, north phx off carefree hwy and I-17 in the albertson's plaza called Yogurtlicious. I'm hooked on the natural flavor - we go there at least 3 times a week.
