MSP- Something new and different for brunch

  • 10
  • Share

Hey Folks,

I am in the mood to try somewhere new for brunch. We have the same brunch routine each week.

Here are the spots we usually go:

Grand Cafe
Lucia's
Al Vento
Maria's
Victor's
The Modern

Anything to add to this rotation?

  1. Chad, is that you? It's Alison in SB. I like the brunch at Meritage. I hear the good day cafe has a delicious pesto salad, although they don't serve it until 12:30. ha ha.

    1. I'd highly recommend the brunch at The Strip Club....

      1. It's more of a straight up breakfast, but we're pretty loyal to Sunnyside Up on Lyndale. Good versions of the classics: omlettes, french toast (theirs is my favorite in town), biscuits & gravy, and they also have a tex-mex section with things like cactus paddle, eggs & chili, and blue corn pancakes.

Alison- I have heard that the pesto salad is amazing.

        2. I'd recommend the Town Talk and Hot Plate. I love the fried egg sandwich at TT, and the eggs benedict at Hot Plate are amazing.

          1. Senor Wong in downtown St. Paul has begun to serve brunch. The brunch menu looks promising.

I'm having trouble attaching the link so I will try again. In case I can't make it work, here is the URL.

              1. I would add in, based on the locations of your choices, Citizen Cafe in South Minneapolis.

                1. Have you tried Jax Cafe brunch buffet on Sunday? I believe it is $20 a person, but it is a lot of great food in a classic NE restaurant.
