We're staying one night at the Marcel Gramercy hotel and would like a recommendation for a good restaurant for dinner that evening in that area (French bistro, continental, etc.) We don't mind paying for a good meal, but we don't want tiny portions for exorbitant prices. Thanks for your suggestions.

What's your price range, including tax, tip, and drinks? What type of cuisines do you like? Manhattan doesn't have that many Continental restaurants these days. Are you interested in ONLY French food? Any specific features you like, like a great wine list or interesting decor or good pastas or great desserts? What type of atmosphere? Quiet or bustling? When are you coming to NYC? A lot of popular restaurants book up weeks in advance.
It looks your hotel is on 24th and 3rd. Is this correct? A lot of posters on this board live in NYC and thereby don't know where a lot of the hotels are.

You are correct about the Marcel's location. True, Bar MIlano isn't French or "continental," but I thought mardisk should know it's there.
