I thought it was a good pairing. The wine itself tasted quite tart, like a granny smith apple. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it at any of the typical places around the South Bay / Long Beach / OC (though like a moron I forgot to try La Española). I had to order it from a place in Northern California. But if you can find it (or don't mind ordering off the Web), I recommend it. It's around $20.
