Pizzeria Mozza Update
I had lunch there yesterday with a friend. We started with the fried squash blossoms, then had the meat lover's pizza. Everything was delicious, as usual. But what surprised me was that about half the bar seats were open at the height of the lunch hour.
Based on past experience, I assumed it was impossible to get in at that hour. Now, I'll be more likely to try it on the spur of the moment. Then again, maybe it was just a slow day.

I echo the sausage pizza and chicken liver pate as well. I'd like to add that if you're a marrow fan, this is one of the best preparations I've had. Simple and rustic, but paired with the incomparable toasted bread on the side, it's amazing and just exactly what it should be!

re: WildSwede
I had been longing to go here for so long and finally got my chance earlier this year as a surprise from my girlfriend.
We had the fried squash blossoms to start. I couldn't forgo ordering them after all the hubbub I had heard/read about them before visiting. A squash blossom filled with ricotta cheese and lightly fried, it was a surprisingly delicate, rich, and greasy bite. I'd recommend those if you see them on the menu on a return visit, as they do come and go depending on the blossom availability.
For pizzas we split the fennel sausage and the white bianca. The sausage was very good but was completely blown out of the water by the bianca.
I'd never considered that eating pizza could cause a person to actually see God, but I saw God in that pizza. Amazing! Go back and order the Bianca and say hello to heaven for me.

ReelMike84 - I know what you are saying there is something about this pizza (actually I am a Fennel Sausage devotee)...
I can not understand anyone who doesn't care for this place (see above)-- but I'd go a step further saying their pizzas may be the single best food in LA at the moment.

re: ReelMike84
I have been reading the past posts all day (pretty much) so I am well aware that this is a much-discussed subject. Thank you for responding!!
I wrote down that someone in the past got a recommendation from their waiter (or manager) to add bacon to the Bianca and that is the only way they order it now!

re: schrutefarms
Cool! ;-) I got 5:15 ressys (I just called this morning). Pretty early, but we will be able to swing it, barring horrible traffic. Have a wonderful meal! I will be there celebrating my birthday!
I think I am going to go with either the liver pate or squash blossoms, definitely the burrata (maybe with bacon or fennel sausage) and not sure what else. I think I need to go with a large group of people to share so I can get to try several items. Unfortunately, it is only two of us tonight!
BTW, are you an Office fan??
