Ideas for meals to go?

My friends recently had a baby, and I'd like to bring them a meal. I'm trying to think of something I can make ahead and refrigerate, something that travels well, something they can just throw in the oven, and something that freezes well for the leftovers (is that enough criterion?). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Soups in a tightly sealed containers are an option. You could also pre-freeze a batch of soup in 1-2 person serving sizes so they have a quick meal whenever they need it. This might be helpful if several people are bringing them meals that stack up in the fridge before they can finish everything. I'd stay away from foods that spoil quickly and definifely consider their likes and dislikes.
I have a pregnant friend that eats very healthy- normally I'd bring a lasagna but she avoids pasta so instead I might bring her spaghetti squash with marinara sauce.
