Another casualty - Sausage Heaven, Manch NH

Msample Sep 19, 2008 06:18 AM

Their website says that they have shut down . Anyone know of a good place for a wide variety of sausage in southern NH ? Their lamb sausage in particular was good .

Don't tell me that! I've been hitting his place before going north to share some with Dad. I still have some nice cheddar dogs in my freezer at the camp. Any word on whether he will reopen?

That sucks but to be honest I haven't really bought anything from them since they moved. Who wants frozen sausage?

their frozen cheddar hot dogs were awesome!! oooooozing with fantastic cheddar cheese. I did love his retail place too. Wonder if closing that up added to his closing up completely.

You used to be able to get their sausage fresh at The Meat House in Bedford among other places. And even frozen, the more unusual flavors like lamb were still delicious.

I love Karl's Sausage Kitchen. I try to get stuff from them every time I'm in the area. (Sausage pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaszeta/...) Everything I get there is top-rate.

Alas, Saugus *is* a lot further away from me (I live almost in VT).

Real bummer about Sausage Heaven :(
