Very Best North End Italian

It is so confusing to an outsider...We do not EVEN have good Italian of any kind where I am from, though I have had some wonderful Italian in New York.....Please tell me where I should go for the very best overall quality of food in the North End, specifically...Money is not a concern, and of course I would love a wonderful ambience, but I am more partial to great Italian, whether Northern or Southern, as again, this is my chance to have great Italian food....I have reservations at Prezza, but will change it if you convince me of a better establishment...Do not care whether something is a "scene" or not, as you know. from previous posts, I will be dining solo....Give me you best recommendation....THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. There are too many answers to this one.
Since $$$ is a non-issue, I think the best approach is to take a 3 or 4 day span and hit a different recommended place each day, or even two per day if you can do lunch as well.
Then report back on how it went...

Agreed. You can have really good squid and pasta at the hole-in-the-wall Daily Catch, Peruvian-Italian fare at Taranta (my current fav), upscale family-style at MarcO, intimate and delicious at Terramia or Carmen, upscale Italian in a fab townhouse at mamma Maria, pizza at Regina's, consistent excellence in a stylish setting at Prezza, cheap and good at Antico Forno, stupendous oysters and shellfish and such ast Neptune Oyster...the list goes on and on.

    2. Your reservation at Prezza is a good thing, enjoy.

      1. Stick with Prezza - I think it is probably the best restaurant in the North End
