Restaurant for out of town guests?

I need a restaurant idea for out of town guests -- one is a vegetarian, the other only eats fish. We are omniovores. I know that most restaurants will have 1 vegetarian entree, but looking for someplace with a few more options. Maybe tapas? Bonus points if it is in SOMA or near 101.

    I'd go to Slanted Door.

Slanted Door is booked. Thinking of One Market, Piperade, Kokkari???

I haven't been to One Market but I think Kokkari would top Piperade in the vegetarian selection.

I love Kokkari's lamb chops, whole grilled fish, as well as the vegetarian apps. Haven't had their veg. entree but if it is as good as the apps, this place should do it.

Kokkari is a great idea. Really really good food but not "stuffy" at all. One Market is overpriced for the quality of food IMO.

Kokkari it is -- and they had a table. Thanks all.

Hmmm... price Range? Cuisine? You have so many options in this fair city!

How about Indian Food, plenty of vegetarian entrees and would fit into most price ranges and about a million options.
Thai or Vietnamese would also have lots of vegetarian and fish options. What about Slanted Door or Out the Door.

Hayes Street Grill could be nice, but perhaps expensive, great fish and surely a vegetarian could eat well there. Oh sorry, just realized Hayes Street Grille might be a little too stuffy, not sure, just saw that.

I should add that our guests are very casual -- don't like dressing up -- and aren't really "foodies." So it shouldn't be stuffy.

I agree that, while it can be a little business-y, with the vegetarians, Kokkari over Piperade, for sure.
