Et Voila in SLO

We enjoyed a very nice lunch today at Et Voila in SLO located on Los Osos Valley Blvd.
Jose Dahan has recently expanded his former location to now seat about 50.
Open for lunches Tuesday to Friday, he plans to begin dinner service in early October
on Friday and Saturdays.
Our lunch choices, which change weekly were:
1st course-
Tomato and Basil soup
or mixed Organic greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette and crumbled Blue cheese
Chicken Confit w/ Braised Lentils du Pay & diced vegetables or
Grilled Mexican Shrimp & Roasted Vegetables w/organic spaghetti in saffron Broth or
The Unberger- a freshly ground organic beef Top sirloin
w/caramelized onions and Bordelaise sauce. No bun, but served with homemade potato chips and a side salad of mixed greens.
Belgian Chocolate Cake with Creme Anglaise & fresh Berries.
3 course lunch is $ 16.95, entree only $ 12.95.
There is a choice of 6 wines by the glass.

  1. I've had lunch there (back when the 3-course was $12.95) and it was great. I did find the choc eclair a bit rich after the lunch, but what the heck, couldn't let it go to waste. Will have to investigate the new setting.

    This might be a good central spot for a meetup.

    1. Great food. Definitely rustic, French-country cuisine, not hoity-toity rich foods full of butter and cream. This is food your French grand-mere from Provence might have made. Jose makes his own bread every morning and it's worth it to go in just for that. They also use olive oil and balsamic from the Robbins Family Farm in SLO, and they sell both by the bottle. The balsamic is the best I've ever had. Et Voila is a new favorite for us, and the parking situation is an added plus (love downtown SLO, hate to park there).
