What are some good options for a budget friendly brunch (under $20 pp) in Manhattan, preferably south of midtown.

Honestly, it doesnt get more budget friendly than Calle Ocho...83rd and Columb.
All entrees under $15 (which are ALLL very tasty) AND free bottomless sangria. Self serve sangria bar. Seven or 8 different kinds..red, white, different fruits, flavors, alcohols...Good stuff. Basically you dont leave there spenind more than 20 bucks (including tax/tip)

Depends if you need a drink or not to be included. Also depends how many people you have and how long you are willing to wait. A lot of restaurants will have beer and wine licenses but not hard liquor (i.e., no bloody marys available).

I like Alias on the LES—never crowded, and great grits.
