I'm looking for a fabulous "cake lady" in northern/cntrl NJ to create a wonderful 1st brithday cake. Not a bakery-- but a one woman "cake lady" operation who makes dreamy and delicious cakes. I know these women must exist somewhere... anyone got any bright ideas? Thanks!!

We used Bellas (http://www.bellasbakery.com) in Short Hills, NJ for our son's first birthday cake last year. The owner has built a bakery room addition onto the back of her house for her business. The cake was very good - I would not say outstanding but really very good - and, what drew me there in the first place, is totally nut free (owner is a pastry chef who started her in-home business after baking for her highly nut allergic daughter, Bella). For the first year, we were being very careful about nuts and this made sense to us. Wishing a Very Happy Birthday to the little one!!

      (Not a one woman show. . . . .)
