Non-cream cheese based cheesecake?

  • 4

I've seen some Ricotta and goat cheese based cheesecakes on menu's at restaurants, but are there any bakeries that carry anything like this? Or if not, what are some of the better renditions at sit down spots?

  1. Most Italian bakeries offer a ricotta pie - I'm partial to Modern's.

    1. Try Mike's Pastry in the North End.

      1. I really like Gran Gusto's Ricotta pie. It has been equally good every time I have had it.

        1. Cool, thanks. I've actually had ricotta but I thought maybe ricotta cheesecake was something else.

Anything of the goat cheese variety?
