I’ll be visiting NY soon and want the best Eggs Benedict the city has to offer. I don’t care about price. I don’t care about ambiance. I don’t care about anything but the Benedict. I prefer the classic with ham/Canadian bacon. What I really care about is the hollandaise; needs to be rich and powerful. With that having been said, if there is a truly extraordinary variation (i.e. foie gras, lobster, steak, etc), I would certainly entertain the idea.

Ideally in Manhattan but will travel for bennie!

Thanks!

PS: Searched the board and found 1 related thread in ‘The Best’ but didn’t get many/any recommendations.

If you're up for a variation, I recommend:
Potato waffle at The Smith (waffle made of potato, topped with poached eggs and hollandaise)

I've done much research on this subject and my favorites are at Prune and Dressler (in Brooklyn). Best hollandaise sauce- rich but with a lemony kick.

I second Dressler. Also has the best omelet in town (IMHO) and great ambiance.

Dressler sounds great but after looking at their website, it appears you can only get the eggs benedict during weekend brunch. Is that correct?
