Cheese Cracker Crust

I was planning on making a crust using a popular cheese cracker.... Does anyone have any experience doing this or possibly hav a good recipe. Thanx

  1. Cracker Pie Crust:
    Crush up the crackers and add a little water to moisten them (add it very little at a time so you don't overdo it) then add a small amount of beaten egg white as a binder. There should be enough oil in the crackers to eliminated the need for butter or shortening. Spread it into a pie plate and bake at 350 (I think 400 would be too high) for about 8 - 10 minutes (perhaps a little less) and see if you like the result.

      That turned out pretty well though I went with the 8 minutes, since it was beginning to brown a bit. Went great with Granny Smith's.

        Now, there's a hot tip! We just happen to have two or three boxes of Cheez-Its left over from a party, and were wondering what we could do with them... Thank you, rozz01!
