New restaurant in East Hills/Roslyn

Per listing on Craigslist, owners of Piccolo in Huntington and Mill Pond in Centerport are planning to open new restaurant in East Hills in November, Their listing says it will offer a mix of Classic American (Steaks, Duck, Fresh Fish, Raw Bar, etc.) and Italian (Northern and Southern). Does anyone know its name, or where?

  1. There aren't too many places it could be. Either they are taking over Brivo, or putting it in somewhere in one of the small strips that are within blocks of Brivo. I don't think there is room for a restaurant near Kitchen Kabaret, unless it is going to be very small. I drove up GC Rd. yesterday and didn't notice anything.

      There is a new building(s) going up on the e/s of GC Rd near the Harbor hill Pharm- just south of Brivo-maybe there?

        Sounds like it will be a good thing. Piccolo is excellent, so I am sure that this will be at least as good as Brivo. We loved it the first time we went, but were not as happy on subsequent visits.

          Has anybody tried the new DayBoat Cafe in Roslyn on Old Northern Blvd yet?

            Yes, and if you love the Pearl OysterBar/Mary's Fish Camp "cuisine" you will love this place. I was there last Sunday night and had a terrific meal, I will post the details when I can.

              Curious as to your details! Didn't realize it was from the Diane's group. First write up didn't mention them at all.

          Good-bye (and good riddance) I for one am glad to see them go. They didn't have any clue as to how run a restaurant. They only made enemies, not customers.

            Erica, saw your little blurb in Newsday. I didn't realize they opened. I called today for a reservation for next Saturday night, and was told 7:00 or 8:45. Are they doing seatings, or do you think that they just got over-run because of the blurb? What did you have for the rest of your meal, couldn't tell whether you liked the chocolate cake or not.
            On a good note, their corkage fee is $20. We realize that we love places that let us bring our own wine.
