Wonton skins

I have some round wonton skins that I need to use up. I haven't worked with them much at all, so I don't want to make something too difficult. What do you make? Any suggestions?

  1. you could use them to make ravioli. Just stuff with filling and boil. My husband always makes me pot stickers :)

      i'm always on the lookout for a good potstickers recipe. would your dh care to part with his?

        I like Susannah Foo's recipe the best. It's available online.
        But you'll need a lot of wontons to make a batch of those.

        I'd definitely use them to make ravioli. Easy, easy, easy.

    2. You can make into sometype of samosas. Boil and mashed potatoes, add green peas, chopped onions, jalapenos,dash of cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, hot chilies powder. You can fill it to the center and just fold it to half circle. Or easier, use 2 wrappers - put filling on top of 1 wrapper, place another wrapper on top, seal with water/eggwash. Fry.

      1. You can make a dessert by deep frying them then dust with powder sugar or cinnamon sugar or dip in honey syrup. If you want to get fancy you can tie them in a knot but that might be hard with the round ones. Should you have larger square ones some time, you cut a slit in the middle, then poke one end of the skin through to make a knotted bowtie.

        1. Some diced jalapeno, onion, a little garlic, and pepper jack cheese. Seal well and deep fry.
