Help! I've been organizing a brunch every year for a group of 12, with the goal of trying a new place each time.

The catch is that the price for food + 1 drink needs to be under $20 pp before tax and tip.

So far, we've been to:

- Essex House (love it and Adam, one of their day managers)
- Norma's (cheated because I love their food)
- Blue Water Grill (that was a few years ago)
- Oeuf (before it closed)
- Aurora in Brooklyn (another cheat allowed as it was next door to a friend's apt)
- Pies & Thighs (oh how I miss P&T)

So the theme is cheap, delicious, good for groups that like to linger, somewhere EV/LES/WV (no off-island stuff but can venture outside of this area a short distance).

I've checked out Freeman's and other brunch chow suggestions but am really hoping that someone can point me to a prix-fixe place under $20 (like Essex's $16 prix fixe).

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I haven't had the pre fix at Tre, a new italian restaurant on Ludlow Street, but the owners are so nice and from naples. I've only had dinner there and it was pretty amazing.
They have a 19 dollar tasting / brunch menu and all you can drink champagne. I am pretty sure that is still running and will check when I walk by tomorrow.
You could definitely linger there, because it really only gets packed at night.

Off the top of my head, I know that a few hounds have posted about dinner at Antibes, and they do brunch service. It is, however, pretty small so I don't know how they'd handle a part of 12. Perhaps Spitzer's Corner? Their set up is long tables and benches to start with, so they shouldn't have a problem with a big group. Also, there is Caffe Emilia, which has a back garden. Giano, also in the EV, has a big back garden. Paprika is probably the cheaper I know of in the EV. It's something like $12 and includes a drink. I've only been for dinner. The Smith might also be a possibility, as a drink is included with your brunch entree.

Mercadito on Ave B. They have a $14.95 (includes mimosa) brunch. It's pretty small in there but I think you could fit 12 in the front on the left. Great mexican food.

Or Sunburnt Cow on Avenue C. Aussie-influenced food, all you can drink brunch <$20. Space might be a problem though as the joint gets packed... I think Bondi Road (same owner) in the LES does the same...

I was just at Bondi Road and it's $15 all you can drink with a meal. Very fresh fish n chips, burgers, veggie burgers and other australian influenced things.
The servers are so hot with their accents and they always make you feel so welcome. They never ever seem annoyed.
