I really liked the waitress and the beer there. The BLT was okay, but I think I like American bacon better than Irish bacon on sandwiches - the Irish bacon was too chewy for a BLT. It has a glass door which can be closed, so even if the place had some noise on a Wednesday night this little room would be ideal. Looked good for a dozen people, if I recall correctly. Come to think of it, there are probably several spaces at The Local which would work, but the room that I am thinking of is located along the south side (go in the front door off Nicollet and turn right, then head towards the back and its halfway back against the right/south wall).
