Clam Pizza at MAX LONDON'S in Saratoga

Max London's is a beautiful place with a friendly staff and generally great food but in their clam pizza they make the mistake of including pancetta, the saltiness of which completely obliterates the taste of the clams. We ate ther two nights in a row and on the second noght I ordered the clam pizza without the pancetta. The resulting pizza was right up there with Frank Pepe's of New Haven. BTW, their garlic shrimp os highly recommended.

If you were Portuguese you'd love it. Real New England clam chowder demands bacon, for example.
