A couple of questions on O Ya

We have reservations for a birthday dinner here...a couple of questions (no not about the prices, I already know about the prices!)...

How do we dress? Are khakis and nice shirts okay or do we need to do the cocktail dresses/blazers and ties thing?

What is the "chef's counter?" That's where we're sitting. Can you just order off of the regular menu?

Thanks!

I would say smart casual. The counter is lot of fun because you can watch them work. We had a party of four and sat at the elbow - it was fabulous!

Business casual is cool there. I'm a jeans and t-shirt guy, and I just swapped out the t-shirt for a button down and was fine. I haven't eaten at the counter but it looks nice and as far as I know, it's the same menu, you just get to see the chefs work and prep.

Enjoy your meal, my one meal there was one of the five best meals of my life. I'm asking for a government bailout so I can afford to go again!

Casual is fine. The counter is overlooking the sushi chefs. Yes, you get the full menu at the counter/bar.
