Brewing beer, curing meat, or making cheese?

DiPalo's now has online ordering!

DiPalo's in Little Italy which gets a good bit of mention on this board now has a website where we can order items. It's dipaloselects.com. For those of you who live in the area, this is likely of little interest. But for those, like ourselves, who live far, far away (California for us), it's good news indeed. I was in correspondence with Emily, their marketing manager, and she was saying that the selection will increase over time. And shipping is reasonable, $9.99 with an $85 purchase. You might want to check it out. I'm already mentally drawing up my first order :)

For thos of us that live in the area, this could be a godsend. Saves us on the horrendously long waiting line.

Unfortunately their signature mozzarella, prosciutto, and a lot of fresh / cured ham are not available online. I will still have to go there to my favorite burrata and porchetta!

I had the impression that igourmet was simply the broker who coordinates the shipping. Are you saying that DiPalos buys their meats and cheeses and things from igourmet rather than direct from the suppliers that they tell us about? Please clarify. Thanks.

you're right, at first glance it looked like it was coming from the igourmet.com site but under the shipping policy it explains how they are using igourmet.com to send their products

Has their physical expansion also been completed?

I don't know about the expansion. You can email at info@dipaloselects.com. That's how I communicated with them. She was just as nice as they are in the store. Even gave me a little antipasto suggestion :)

I just revisited their site and the selection has increased a lot. Now they have their gorgonzola dulce available for online ordering which makes me very, very happy :)

They've also opened their wine store I believe, though I've not been yet.

We won't be back in NYC til June so will probably have to order some cheese and meat - at least. If there's a heaven, please let it be New York!
