Best Sports Bar in Tampa Area

Having perused a recent posting about the best chicken wings around (not to mention football season now being in full swing), it got me thinking: What is the best sports bar in the immediate Tampa Area?
Personally, I'm a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings for the wide variety of wings, a terrific beer selection (Sam Adams Lager on tap -- YES!), gigantic TVs tuned to every game imaginable, and video games/trivia for those who don't seem to care about watching football or baseball. While I'm not a big fan of Beef o Brady's because the food has never impressed me and the TVs are way too small, I know some people love them. Any other local sports bars that reign supreme? Chammps? Courtside Grille?

  1. On the Pinellas side, I do enjoy Courtside Grille for the atmosphere, food and drinks, but it's fairly tough to watch a game unless it is the featured game on the large TV.

My favorite sports bar in the Tampa area is Rock-N-Sports bar in Centro Ybor. The atmosphere is fantastic; open aired with plenty of floor to ceiling glass and a great outdoor balcony overlooking the streets of Ybor. Almost makes me feel good about being at a bar watching football :-) In addition, they've got a pretty good beer selection, including Turbodog, Sam Adams Lager, Blue Moon on tap (about 15 total). The food's pretty darn good, probably my favorite wings. It's just about the perfect place!

    1. Courtside Grill

      Buffalo Wild Wings

Hands down the best two for sports bars in the Bay Area. Champps is nice, but expensive if you plan on being there for a full game.
