Ten Feet Tall - great service, food, atmosphere

I had the pleasure of going to Ten Feet Tall. It is a great place. It is really kid friendly - we had a three and a half year old with us. The adults had a great time too.
The tables are spaced - so you can enjoy yourself.
The menus are really neat - record covers, the menu is varied - the yam fries are great!!!
All our food was really good. Nice choice available.
The music is a really nice mix.
The person who was our server, Sean, was great. Attentive - checked on our food,
answered questions about the menu and catered to the three and half year old - she got her drink in a fancy glass. Ketchup was delivered without asking - he was sure she would like it with her grilled cheese. I had a special request and he looked after it - no problem.
He is very friendly and a great server. Thank you Sean!
I would recommend Ten Feet Tall for the service, food, music and the decor is really interesting too. Great spot on the Danforth.
We had a really nice evening!
Thank you.

Sweet potato fries and lamb just above average.

Steak and Talapia way below average.

First and last time to this rest.

Thanks for the report, been meaning to try this place out but wasn't sure about the eclectic menu. Will definitely go there soon now as I also live in the area.

Agreed with everything you say (especially the yam frites, with jalapeno mayo), but can we keep this to ourselves? They are popular enough already and service can get quite slow when they are busy!

Ya ya, nice try. This has been on my list for a while now. What are your top dishes there?

For brunch, the eggs florentine. With yam fries.
For dinner, the jerk chicken pasta. With yam fries.
The calamari is excellent - I never order calamari because it's always rubbery, but friends did and I was very impressed. Perfectly cooked with a light cornmeal coating - "batter" would almost be too heavy a description.

I will note that I live in the area. I probably wouldn't travel across town for a meal here.
