Quality Soft Serve

  • 9

I am looking for great soft serve ice cream in Montreal or the West Island. I had the best soft serve in Bromont at Fromagerie Qualité Summum... choice of milk chocolate or dark chocolate dip. I can't stop thinking about it... heavenly!

  1. try the "Old Fashioned" soft serve in a variety of flavours at Festin de Babette, on St-Denis street. Yuummm!

    1. There's only one place to go : Chez Bobec on Laurier East a few streets east of parc Laurier (diagonal of the Metro grocery store). It's light and creamy and they also offer milk chocolate or dark chocolate dip. And the home made ice cream is also very good.

You're saying, Bobec makes home-made soft ice cream? I've tasted their home made hard ice cream before. Unfortunately they are closed for the winter now.

      2. Believe it or not but I find McDonalds to have terrific soft serve...not too creamy - you know the kind that leaves a greasy feeling on the roof of your mouth.

i hope it's not too creamy, it's milk and sugar, far from being considered ice cream

Exactly, it's frozen milk, not ice cream and it's pretty much tasteless. Dairy Queen and La Crèmière are better options than Mickey D.

I actually prefer the Mickey D's soft serve to DQ's.

I used to love DQ's soft serve, but the last time I had it, it was gritty and left me with a bad taste in my mouth sort of like when you've eaten Cool Whip.

I like my soft serve, a little stiff. Find almost all too soft.

        2. One place in the west island but I don't know if they have soft ice cream is gelateria Dolce Vita on St-Charles in kirkland. Same shopping centre as Metro supermarket.
