Locked Thread - Help!

I recently posted a thread about a chowdown for Charlotte - our first. I notice that the thread is locked at the top of the South board. I thought, at first, that CH was helping to keep it at the top of the board so that it would get the most visibility. But I noticed not many had responded to it. Then another CHer advised that since it is locked no one can post on the thread.

So, why is it locked? I think it would be helpful if Chers can ask questions and offer input on the thread, rather than having to email everything. Plus, we'd like to post about our experience afterwards.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
