Going to the MMJ show on Friday night at the Greek theater. BARTing over from SF. Looking for the best take out place on the way up the hill to the Greek as I do not know Berkeley very well. Mexican, Middle Eastern, Pizza, sandwich joints, etc. welcome.

For pizza, I recommend Arinell's on Shattuck Square, 2 minutes from BART. Classic, thin crust Neapolitan Zza. Get a whole pie and take it with you. Have fun...Adam

"One Big Holiday" for eats in Berkeley!

If you divert slightly North from BART, over and up Hearst Ave, you'll pass Euclid Ave, and there on that street is a decent pizza/sandwich joint, La Val's, halfway up the block...as well as a workmanlike Mexican place (right next to La Val's), a Bongo Burger and a very good Thai place (blanking on name right now).

Also, just past Euclid on Hearst, there is small food court, with a Top Dog, a Korean spot, a Vietnamese place, and maybe one or two other places which are all at least okay and fairly economical. From Euclid you'd just continue up Hearst a hundred yards or so and then go right (south) on Gayley Way, at the light...

There is the Faculty Club on campus also, cool building (if a bit hard to find), that has pub grub elevated a bit, and very close to the Greek. Not so much take out, but you could probably get stuff to go...

Hope you have a blast! Great band!
