You can make a reservation there also. Not sure about reservations at PDT. Always just sat at the bar after a wait. They are usually quite busy on Thursdays. However, the bar is first come, first served. I always call ahead to inquire how busy the bar is. Most parties of two wind up at the bar. There are only a handful of tables in the entire place, so reserving a 2-top isn't much more difficult than reserving a table for 4. There are two tables for 2 against the wall, to the immediate right of the door, as you enter. There is also a booth in the back that can comfortably seat 4-5 people. So it's about the same chances, I suppose...I did try to get a reservation last week on a Tuesday for 2 people and the earliest they had was 12:30pm, so it might work out. I would take the 5 minutes to head to Pegu Club. which makes as good drinks but feels a bit more upscale. Of course it depends on the scene you are looking for.
