I know the Atlantic Bar and Grill has been addressed in prior moths ,but I must add .This place is by far the BEST place ..view ,food, wait staff @ the shore ,none come close !!..The only draw back is the parking ..Are there any more Places like this in this area ( Ocean co.) that I am missing..

big - I'm happy you enjoyed AB&G it's also one of my favorites. Another one to try is Bistro 44. Good Luck.

I think the real question about AB&G is ...

Is their key lime pie any good?

Thinking of going here the weekend of 9/26. Do they take reservations? Are they needed this time of year? Thanks.

I think they take reservations and I would suggest them, that place gets packed but not sure about off season.

Another beautiful atmosphere is the Mahogany Grille in Manasquan the ambience is by far one of the most romantic places to go especially for your anniversary

The food is excellent, they change their menu seasonally, they use local farms, and the wine list is outstanding. If you like Atlantic Bar and Grille, the head chef at Mahogany is the old sous chef from ABG.

Is that a new chef for Mahogany? I was there about a year and a half ago and the food was just awful, we were the only table in the place at 7:30 which should have been our first clue.

yea the place has a bad reputation for bad chefs unfortunately, but I am pleased to let you know that the new chef has only been there less than a year and is even bringing the locals back, give it a shot i promise you will be blown away with how far it has come!

tried going here last night but were told 2 hour wait for a table. for the life of me I don't understand the "no reservation" policy. but I'm sure the bar crowd has something to do with it.
we may try again some day but a week night if we do.
