Dress for Table 52 lunch

thkski Sep 13, 2008 12:15 PM

Can someone tell me how dressy Table 52 would be for lunch? Would slacks and a blouse for ladies and slacks and golf shirt for men suffice. Thanks.

No problem. You will see a mix but be comfortable in what you describe almost everywhere in Chicago.

We went for lunch last November. It was really cold and we walked from the
Whitehall Hotel. I had on a nice pair of courderoy slacks and a pretty knit top and my husband had jeans and a cashmere purple sweater perfectly fine.
No one was really "dressed up" and everyone looked casual and having a good time. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting quite some time with Art Smith who was a real treasure to encounter. I found the other patrons friendly and even engaging of conversation as the tables are pretty close together. My husband took a video of the mac & cheese
bubbling in the bowl and it was truly a fun thing to see - this with our little camera not a video camera per se. I really really enjoyed myself and hope to go there again when we are back in that area, maybe next May. Have a great meal! We got there pretty much when they opened and ate our way through the menu and left almost 3 hours later! A hui hou!
